Close Brothers Hires Financial Advisor In Cheshire

The asset management arm of London-listed Close Brothers has added to its financial planning team in Northwest England.

The UK's Close Brothers Asset Management has appointed Debbie Long as financial advisor within its Northwich, Cheshire office.

Previously, Long worked at Skipton Financial Services. She also served as a financial advisor at Halifax for 11 years.

In the newly-created role, Long will report to Craig Heath, the firm's Northwich practice director.

“Debbie’s approach will enhance our current offering, and ensure the advice we offer continues to serve the long-term aspirations of our clients across Cheshire and the North West,” said Heath.

In 2015, CBAM generated a pre-tax operating profit of £108.7 million ($154.9 million), up from £106.2 million a year prior, although total client assets fell to £9.1 billion. Last month, the firm, which has eight offices across the UK, appointed family lawyer Josephine Fay to its business development team in London.
