City National Bank has named Jaime G Chavez as vice president and manager of its new office in San Jose.

Chavez has over 20 years of financial services experience and most recently served as relationship sales manager for GE Capital in San Jose. Before that, he worked with Bank of America for 13 years.

In his new role, Chavez will be overseeing the delivery of the bank's range of financial products and services, including small business services, small business administration, business and consumer loans, cash management, deposit, international banking, and foreign exchange. He will also manage the customer service and business development efforts of the branch, particularly with community organizations.

The new branch is City National's 11th in Northern California and was acquired last year from First Bank. It opens today and will eventually be known as the San Jose Regional Center.

City National Bank is a wholly-owned subsidiary of City National Corporation. It has $21.4 billion in total assets and provides financial services through 75 offices in the country.
