Mark Nakamuru has been named senior vice president and team leader for City National Bank’s private client services group in Beverly Hills.

Nakamaru will oversee client service and retention, business development and investment management for the bank's high net worth clients, many of whom are in the entertaintment industry, where City National has a high profile.

Nakamaru most recently served with Comerica Bank as a senior vice president and market manager for private banking in the Southern California and Arizona region. Before that, he worked at Union Bank in Los Angeles for a decade and helped manage the consolidation of the two private banking offices at The Bank of California and Union Bank when the two organizations merged.

Nakamaru started his banking career at Bank of America in Los Angeles in 1979 and worked there for nearly 13 years.
