City National Hires Bay Area Wealth Planner

City National has made a senior hire from Morgan Stanley in the Golden State.

City National Bank has brought in Nichole Walker as a senior wealth planner, based in San Francisco and serving clients in the Bay Area.

Walker was previously a financial advisor at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, where she also served as a team member for the firm’s institutional consulting division, Graystone Consulting.

Previously, she practiced law for 15 years, serving as general counsel for technology and media companies, and as special advisor for a hedge fund.

City National has been in the Bay Area since 1999 and now has 11 offices there, including two new ones in Pleasanton and the South of Market area. In addition, the bank’s Palo Alto office houses the bank’s growing technology and venture capital banking group.

Meanwhile, at the end of June the firm hired Lisa Farley as a senior vice president and private client advisor in the South Bay area.
