City National Boosts New York Private Client Team

Two former Wells Fargo employees have joined the firm's private client services team.

City National Bank, which was recently acquired by RBC, has added two wealth advisors to serve clients in New York City and the surrounding area.

Patricia Chambers and Valerie Groh have been named as senior vice presidents and senior private bankers with the bank’s New York private client services team.

Chambers was previously a senior vice president and wealth advisor at Wells Fargo, while Groh served as a senior vice president and senior private banker.

“City National Bank’s merger with Royal Bank of Canada, which closed on November 2, will lead to significant growth opportunities throughout the bank, specifically in the Manhattan and tri-state areas,” said Scott Witter, senior vice president and region manager for private client services in New York.

City National entered New York in 2002 primarily to serve entertainment clients and has grown to serve wealthy families, non-profits and professional services firms throughout the region.
