City National Bank Makes Raft Of Private Client Hires In California

City National Bank has made five hires focused on serving clients in California's Central Coast region.
New York-listed City National Bank, the private and business bank, has made five hires focused on serving private clients in California's Central Coast region.
Joining to serve clients in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties is senior vice president and regional manager Leo Hamill; private bankers Annamarie Cole and Roy Martinez; Amber Ortiz, a private client advisor; and Susan Rogers, a trust advisor.
The firm said it plans to add office space in the Santa Barbara/Montecito area later this year. For now, the appointees will be based in Oxnard, Southern California.
City National Corporation has $29.7 billion in assets. Its wholly-owned subsidiary, City National Bank, provides banking, investment and trust services through 77 offices, including 16 full-service regional centers in Southern California, the San Francisco Bay Area, Nevada, New York City, Nashville, TN, and Atlanta, GA.
City National and its investment affiliates manage or administer $66.4 billion in client investment assets, including $46.4 billion under direct management.
In other recent news at the firm, in February Scott Witter was brought in to head the firm's private client services group in New York, taking over from Robin Balding, who joined in 2003 and retired (see more here).
