City National Bank Bulks Up Private Banker Teams For California

The bank said the hires are part of a drive to significantly expand coverage of California.
City National Bank, a Royal Bank of Canada subsidiary, has added 10 private bankers to boost its Californian business in serving high net worth and ultra-HNW individuals.
These hires are part of City National’s overall investment in its private banking and wealth management capabilities led by Brandon Williams, who was named EVP and head of private banking and wealth management City National in September last year.
City National also recently hired Darcy Roennfeldt as its new head of trust and estate services, and Shannon Patterson as co-head of City National Private Bank and head of the Eastern region. The new bankers will report to Stephen M Sherline, who joined in August as co-head of City National Private Bank and head of the Western region.

Two additional Western region private bank officers were recently promoted:

analyst), San Francisco.
