Citigroup Names New Asia-Pacific Chief Financial Officer

The US bank names a new finance chief for the region, taking the helm from a predecessor who has been appointed to a new role.

Citigroup has appointed Anand Sairam as its chief financial officer for the Asia-Pacific region, this news service can confirm. Sairam has been part of the US bank’s finance team for eight years.

Most recently, Sairam was Asia’s regional head of financial planning and analysis after serving in the role of head of corporate FP&A. In addition, he worked with Citigroup business leaders to increase profitable growth in the region by exploring partnership opportunities, identifying new customer segments and improving client experience.

Prior to joining the lender in 2014, Sairam worked in investment banking at Nomura Securities and Deutsche Bank.

He is succeeding Tim Monger in the CFO role. In June, Monger was appointed as the head of the bank's North and East Asian business “cluster,” based in Hong Kong.
