Citigroup's Private Bank Names New Head Of Investment Counseling In East Region

The US private bank has a new head of investment counseling for the East Region.

Citigroup’s private bank has appointed Kristen Bitterly Michell has been appointed head of investment counseling for the East Region in the US, filling the role vacated by Mike Persinski who was appointed a new position at the bank in October.

Bitterly Michell will be based in New York and report to Jonathan Leach, head of North America Investments Counselors.  She will be responsible for leading investment services for ultra-high-net-worth clients.

“Kristen brings nearly two decades of industry experience and expertise in investments. Her team leadership and client coverage will further elevate our client franchise,” said Leach. 

Prior to this role, Bitterly Michell served as capital markets head of structured solutions for the private bank. 

Before joining Citigroup, Bitterly Michell led structured product sales to Latin American investors at Credit Suisse and previously provided structured derivative solutions to private investor clients at JP Morgan. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
