Citi Private Bank has named Russ Labrasca as managing director and head of the Houston office.

Labrasca joins from Wells Fargo Private Bank where he was a senior managing director responsible for the Southern region. Prior to that, he held senior sales positions at State Street Research Investment Services, Principal Financial Securities, and Sutro & Company. 

As head of the Houston office, he will further establish Citi's wealth management offerings in the region with a focus on ultra high net worth clients.

Labrasca's hire is the latest in a series of appointments at Citi in the US. In July, the bank brought in Perry Brown from Northern Trust to lead the Palm Beach office. Earlier, the firm hired Alexander Zaharoff for the North America investment lab and Patricia McDermott of US Trust for the Connecticut and Westchester branches.
