Citi Private Bank has hired Mary Agnes Pan as managing director and private banker for its ultra high net worth clients. Based in New York, she will report to Leslie Bains, interim regional executive for the Metro New York area.

Pan joins from HSBC and brings with her more than 30 years of industry experience. At HSBC she was a managing director and senior private banker.

Prior to joining HSBC in 2000, she was a private banker with NationsBank - now Bank of America.

Pan had previously been at Citi serving from 1989 to 1994 as a private banker, also based at Citi Private Bank's New York office.

Peter Charrington, chief executive of Citi Private Bank in North America described Pan as an “outstanding private banker” and said that this appointment “once again demonstrates our ability to attract the very best talent in the industry to join Citi Private Bank and serve clients from our platform."
