Citi Private Bank Appoints New North America Team Head

The joiner, from Bank of America, will be taking up the post at the end of May. His appointment comes amid a number of senior moves at Citi Private Bank in recent weeks.
Citi Private Bank has appointed Chris Biotti, a former Bank of America Private Bank senior figure, as its North America team head.
Biotti, who has more than 25 years’ private banking and wealth experience, worked at BoA’s private bank for 13 years, most recently as Northeast division executive. In that role he oversaw seven markets and 25 offices, according to a memo from Andy Sieg, head of Citi Wealth, as seen by this publication.
Previously, Biotti held management positions in private banking for Neuberger Berman and Lehman Brothers in San Francisco. Earlier in his career, Biotti played professional ice hockey. He holds a BA from Harvard University and a JD from Suffolk University Law School. He was the executive co-sponsor for Bank of America’s Massachusetts Pride LGBTQ affinity group. Biotti also serves on the board of City Year, Boston, and the Boston Board of Cradles to Crayons.
Biotti will be joining Citigroup in late May. Until then, Cayman Wills is continuing as interim head of Citi Private Bank for North America.
As reported in late January, global head of Citi Private Bank, Ida Liu (pictured below), left the firm after almost 20 years at the US organisation. The bank also made a number of other top-line management changes.
