Citi Hires UHNW Private Bankers In Colorado, Texas

Citi Private Bank has added ultra high net worth private bankers and directors to its teams in Colorado and Texas.

The bank has brought in Brian Becker in Denver, reporting to to Mark Connally, Southwest region executive.

Becker is latterly of JP Morgan Private Wealth Management, where he was a vice president in Denver. Before that he spent three years at Bernstein Wealth Management, also in Denver. 

In other moves, Citi said Steve Logan and Jeff Briggs will also be joining the Denver team later this summer. Logan will join as managing director and head of the Denver office, while Briggs starts as managing director and UHNW private banker.

Meanwhile, Stephen Baird has been appointed as director and UHNW private banker at the Houston, TX, office, reporting to Russ Labrasca, head of the Houston branch.

Baird also joins from JP Morgan Private Wealth Management, where he was most recently an executive director and private banker in Houston. 

Prior to joining JP Morgan in 2009, Baird spent six years as a director and portfolio strategy consultant at UBS, covering the south-central region comprising Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi and Alabama.  

In other recent developments, Citi ramped up its Northeast operations with the launch of a Greenville, DE office at the end of May. In the same month the firm appointed a director and investment counselor, Nevada Mohammed, who joined the Vancouver office in Canada. Additionally, it strengthened its law firm group with the addition of Michael Sak as vice president and private banker, followed by the appointment of Michael Hatch as director and ultra high net worth private banker within the Seattle office.
