Citi Hires Director, UHNW Private Banker In Miami From JP Morgan

Citi Private Bank has appointed Boris Espinoza in Miami as a director and ultra high net worth private banker, as the firm continues to expand in South Florida.

Citi Private Bank has appointed Boris Espinoza in Miami, FL, as a director and ultra high net worth private banker, as the firm continues to expand in South Florida.

Espinoza is latterly of JP Morgan, where he was a director and private banker. Prior to joining JP Morgan in 2010, Espinoza spent 12 years at ABN AMRO working in Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires, Miami and New York. There, he held various roles in the investment banking division, most recently as a director in the New York-based debt capital markets group.

In his new role at Citi, Espinoza will report to Luke Palacio, Southeast regional market manager.

Palacio was brought in as managing director and regional market manager for the Southeast region in February 2013, as the firm also looked to boost its ultra high net worth Latin American business.

Palacio is tasked with reinforcing the firm’s presence throughout South Florida and beyond what Citi describes as the “key locations” of Miami, Boca Raton and Palm Beach. He also instigated a strategic focus on UHNW Latin American clients based in North America. See story here
