Chicago-Headquartered Mesirow Joins Pro Bono Financial Advice Foundation

The Foundation For Financial Planning, operating for three decades, aims to deliver free advice to potentially vulnerable groups such as military veterans, caregivers, low-income workers and survivors of domestic violence.
Mesirow, a wealth manager, has joined an industry foundation seeking to make it easier for at-risk groups to get pro bono financial advice.
The firm has joined the Foundation For Financial Planning (FFP) as a new RIA Impact Partner. FFP is a group of UK independent businesses.
FFP, operating for more than three decades, connects certified financial planner professionals with potentially vulnerable groups such as active-duty military members and veterans, individuals with cancer, seniors and caregivers, domestic violence survivors, low-income workers and others.
Through its RIA Impact Partners and Corporate 100 Club programs, FFP equips firms and advisors with resources, training, and a range of volunteer opportunities via its matching platform, ProBonoPlannerMatch.Org.
“Mesirow is proud to partner with the Foundation for Financial Planning and fellow like-minded firms on this important work,” Brian Price, CEO of Mesirow Wealth Management, said.
“Through FFP’s robust pro bono offerings, we know our wealth advisors will have access to meaningful opportunities to make a real impact on families who are facing difficult life and financial circumstances,” Price said.
Mesirow, which is owned by its employees, was founded in 1937 and is headquartered in Chicago.
FFP has provided almost $10 million in grants to national and community-based pro bono programs and worked with partners to activate more than 30,000 financial planners to volunteer their time and talents, serving more than 765,000 people in crisis or need.
