Chicago Firm Adds Wealth Advisor

Noyes, the Chicago, IL-based firm, has hired a wealth advisor from Fifth Third Securities.

Noyes, the wealth management and investment banking firm, has added Scott Schmidt to its Elgin, IL-based wealth management group.

Schmidt was previously an investment executive at Firth Third Securities, and will continue as founding partner at Schmidt & Lerner, a law firm specializing in estate planning.

Schmidt began his career in 2007 as an associate attorney at the law firm O’Connell, Tivin, Miller & Burns in Chicago, IL. In 2011, he joined Meritus Financial Group and in 2014 moved to Fifth Third Securities.

Noyes has made a number of wealth management hires in recent months. At the start of June, the firm welcomed Andy Blackwell as a wealth advisor in Indianapolis. The firm said previously it is focusing on expanding its wealth management business through recruiting and acquisitions.

Noyes, through its subsidiaries David A Noyes & Company and Noyes Advisors, is headquartered in downtown Chicago, IL, with branches throughout the Midwest.
