Chase Private Client Launches Seven NYC Branches

Chase Private Client, the JP Morgan Chase subsidiary that caters to affluent clients, is opening seven new offices in New York City in September.

The new branches, located at Madison Avenue, Park Avenue, Pennsylvania Plaza, Third Avenue, Broadway at 39th, Broadway at 73rd and Water Street, combine the services of Chase retail banking with JP Morgan investments for high net worth clients and their families. By the end of 2011, the company said it intends to see its office numbers go beyond 250 and perhaps eventually reach 1,000 by 2013.

"Chase Private Client is a recognition and response to the evolving needs of our affluent Chase customers. As our customers' lives get more complex, we aim to provide the products and services they want and need to effectively manage wealth," said Barry Sommers, chief executive of Chase Wealth Management.

Chase opened the first two of the planned 150-plus new private client offices across the US in July, in line with its goal of reaching out to more of this market segment. The subsidiary was launched in 2007 and was aimed at customers with at least $500,000 in investable assets.
