Charles River Creates Compliance Service

Charles River, a software and services provider, has launched Charles River Compliance Services for buy-side firms looking to outsource monitoring, rules management and foreign ownership reporting functions.
The service includes a team of specialists who review and assess overnight compliance incidents, and provide a daily summary of alerts, warnings, actions taken and items requiring escalation, the firm said. Specialists will also help to create and test compliance rules, and can monitor regulatory rules for foreign ownership monitoring and substantial shareholder disclosure reporting.
The offering is part of an integrated managed services package.
“Tougher regulatory compliance, increased scrutiny on risk, and ongoing pressure to reduce cost leave many organizations struggling to get by with personnel that are stretched thin or lacking in expertise,” said Ed Fitzpatrick, director, managed services, Charles River Development.
The firm works with 350 clients in 40 countries.
