Channel Islands Law Firm Breaks Into Caymans, BVI

Carey Olsen, the Channel Islands law firm, is extending its reach to the Cayman Islands and the British Virgin Islands.

The firm will offer legal advice in the Cayman Islands through a team including partners Jason Allison, Nick Bullmore and Jarrod Farley. A formal launch of the office in the Caymans and the announcement of newly-built premises will take place in September this year.

Carey Olsen is also now offering a BVI capability led by Guernsey-based partner Andrew Boyce. Before moving to Guernsey, Boyce worked in the BVI and is qualified to practice law in both jurisdictions.

“We have encountered an increasing demand for the provision of Cayman Islands and BVI legal advice from our clients and intermediaries,” said Alex Ohlsson, managing partner at the law firm.

Based in Jersey, Guernsey and London, Carey Olsen is an offshore legal firm assisting institutional clients in large multi-jurisdictional transactions across the Channel Islands. The firm also provides legal services for governments, corporates, professional firms and high net worth individuals.
