Cedrus Investments Brings On Ex-Consul General Of Egypt

Global investment house Cedrus Investments has hired ex-diplomat Mohamed Fahmy.

Cayman Islands-headquartered Cedrus Investments has hired Mohamed Fahmy, a former consul general of Egypt in Hong Kong and Macao, as executive director.

Fahmy brings over 20 years' experience in diplomatic service, during which time he helped build bilateral trade, business and investment opportunities. 

He has previously worked as director of China affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Egypt, and is well-versed in Middle Eastern/Chinese bilateral relationships. He has served in an array of global locations, including Sweden, Saudi Arabia, Kenya and Hong Kong.

“He brings extensive experience in many disciplines and adds the necessary leadership to help Cedrus continue pursuing its global strategies and strengthening its relationships with governments, investors and companies around the world,” said Cedrus Investments' chairman, Rani Jarkas.

In his new role, Fahmy will help identify investment opportunities and develop capital flows and business development across Asia-Pacific, Greater China, and the Middle East and North Africa regions, Fahmy said.
