Canadian Brokerage Launches ETF Center

National
Bank Direct Brokerage, a wholly-owned subsidiary of
National Bank of
Canada
, is launching an exchange traded funds center to provide users
with ETF trading in the North American markets.

Using
the new tool clients can research ETFs and execute trades, and are
able to search by symbol, various criteria or using a key word. The
features and composition of a fund are then displayed in real time
and using a one-page format. Graphs can be customized by options such
as frequency, period, indicators and volume.

The
US market for exchange traded products has grown quickly in recent
years, as their use has been expanded through retail channels and
they remain popular with institutional investors as well. Last
December assets in US-listed exchange traded funds and products
reached $1.027 trillion, according to figures from BlackRock.
