Callan Family Office Launches Business Transition, Transaction Offering
The fact that such an offering is being rolled out speaks to the amount of corporate activity, some of it caused by advisors seeking to retire, that is taking place in North America.
Callan Family Office, an RIA, has launched an offering for business owners thinking of business transitions or deals. The launch comes amid continued M&A consolidation and transactions in the North American wealth sector.
The firm’s Business & Transaction Advisory Practice will be led by Jeff Getty and Lisa Clifford, who join from Key Private Bank. They educate owners on how to get the most value from their firms, exit option strategies, and value enhancement through due diligence preparation. They also work with the business owner’s legal and tax counsel on transaction structuring.
“Business owners represent a large segment of the US GDP and most owners’ net worth,” Jack Ginter, chief executive of Callan Family Office, said. “Before selling or transitioning, an owner should ensure that their business is in its strongest possible position to allow them to generate maximum value.”
At Key Private Bank, Getty led the family wealth consulting team and founded its business advisory practice. During his 14-year tenure, Getty managed a team of 12 professionals, providing support for approximately 30 to 40 transactions per year. Getty holds a Juris Doctor and master of science in taxation. He is also a Fellow in the American College of Trust & Estate Counsel (ACTEC®), Accredited Estate Planner (AEP®), Certified Merger & Acquisition Advisor (CM&AA®), Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), and Certified Value Growth Advisor (CVGA®). He is author of the book The Descent is the Real Climb: The Unexpected Truths About Successful Business Transitions.
Clifford holds the Certified Private Wealth Advisor® designation (CPWA®) and is a Certified Merger & Acquisition Advisor (CM&AA®).
Callan serves ultra-high net worth families, family offices, foundations and endowments in the US.
