The group is based in Irvine, California, and the organization collectively oversaw about $417 million of client money.
Raymond James has brought in financial advisors Jeffrey M Garell, Robert Emmer and Michael Campbell, along with their Silversage Advisors® team to Raymond James Financial Services. RJFS is Raymond James’ independent advisor channel.
The men, based in Irvine, California, joined from Geneos Wealth Management, where they oversaw about $417 million of client money. Joining them are other team members: Matthew Mendoza, service advisor; Karin Mason Garell, CFO of Silversage Advisors and RJFS office manager; Lynn LaTendresse, client services manager; Kristin Evans, investment portfolio associate; Peggy Pinkerton, client relationship manager; and client service associates Cynthia Terrazas, Christopher Deo, Dominic Bastone and Thorne Saunders.
“Previously operating as a hybrid RIA, our team wanted to transition to a business model through which we could leverage a large, national firm’s compliance and technology resources, while maintaining our independence and freedom,” Jeffrey Garell, founding principal of Silversage Advisors and RJFS registered principal, said. “Raymond James offers us the right balance of autonomy, flexibility and support, so we can focus our time on working directly with our clients.”
Garell has nearly 35 years of industry experience in Southern California.
Emmer, registered principal has more than 40 years of industry experience. Prior to beginning his financial services career, he served three years in the United States Army, including a one-year tour in Vietnam. In addition to serving his clients, Emmer has taught financial planning classes at University of California Berkeley Extension for 10 years.
Campbell, financial advisor, began his financial services career eight years ago with Edward Jones. He graduated with his bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University.
