Californian Wealth Manager Names COO

The organization, which operates in 41 offices across 13 states, oversees almost $29 billion in assets under management.
EP Wealth Advisors, a California-headquartered RIA, has appointed veteran wealth industry figure Jorge Bernal as chief operating officer.
Bernal, who is to be based in the firm’s Seattle office, has more than 30 years of experience leading advisors and other client-facing and support functions. He will lead the firm’s wealth advisory, marketing, investments, and wealth management services teams.
Prior to this, Bernal was COO and head of wealth management at SageView Advisory Group; he also served in senior roles at Goldman Sachs, United Capital, Fidelity and JP Morgan.
EP Wealth, which operates in 13 states and has $28.9 billion in AuM, recently added chief people officer Megan Glover. It was founded 25 years ago by Brian Parker and Derek Holman. It is backed by Berkshire Partners, a Boston-headquartered private investment firm.
