Edgewood Partners Insurance Center, a California-based firm, is launching a specialist division for vintage race cars.

The division, called EPIC Motorsports, will provide comprehensive coverage for the true stated value of vintage vehicles, collector and race cars. This can include earthquake coverage, no mileage restrictions, "on track" protection, and higher policy limits.

The team, led by managing principal David Alvarado, is made up of Stan Sanchez and Beth Ward. Sanchez has spent the last six years creating insurance policies for luxury car collectors, while Ward is a 20-year insurance veteran and follower of the American Le Mans Series, NASCAR, Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters and Formula One.

The policies were developed through discussion with motorsport experts such as Cris Vandagriff of the Historic Motor Sports Association, and aim to cover all aspects of owning and restoring vintage vehicles.
