CIBC Widens Wealth Brand Across US

The name of CIBC Private Wealth Management will be used across the country.

The business now known as CIBC Private Wealth Management will use that name across North America, starting from today.

Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce acquired Atlantic Trust from Invesco more than four years ago, part of continued consolidation in parts of the North American wealth industry.

A number of business entities will be renamed under the change, the group said today. Atlantic Trust Company, NA will be known as CIBC National Trust Company; Atlantic Trust Company of Delaware as CIBC Delaware Trust Company; and AT Investment Advisers, Inc as CIBC Private Wealth Advisors, Inc. These are wholly owned subsidiaries of CIBC Private Wealth Group, which used to be called Atlantic Trust Group.

The private wealth business in the US oversees more than $52 billion of assets. CIBC in the US is headquartered in Chicago.
