CFG Gestion, the subsidiary of Casablanca-headquartered CFG Group that is in charge of asset management, has awarded a contract to Misys, the UK technology firm, to provide it with its Sophis VALUE service.

“The latest version of Sophis VALUE is able to handle a wide range of asset classes and cope with local market standards,” Younes Guemouri, chief operating officer of Misys Sophis Europe, said.

CFG Group is an independent investment bank that began providing financial services to retail clients 10 years ago through its Dar Tawfir brand, and today offers a full spectrum of investment banking services, spanning corporate financing, capital market transactions, asset management, portfolio management and venture capital. The firm says it wants to modernise its IT systems and offer more added-value services to its retail clients.

Sophis VALUE is a fully integrated cross-asset solution for investment management; it exploits straight-through-processing to handle the complete trading life cycle from portfolio management to middle- and back-office operations, to risk management and compliance.
