Brown Advisory and RockCreek Link Up

The investment pact addresses the advisory and outsourced chief investment office needs of various clients, including endowments, foundations and institutional clients.
Brown Advisory, a Baltimore-headquartered global investment management, announced on Friday that it has made an investment in RockCreek, a Washington-headquartered investment firm specializing in multi-asset and outsourced chief investment officer (OCIO) solutions. The partnership brings together two private and independent firms defined by a shared commitment to a client-first culture and disciplined, long-term investment philosophies.
For Brown Advisory, the investment deepens its OCIO and advisory capabilities, and for RockCreek, it provides broader and exceptional resources, and enhanced infrastructure. The partnership will help both firms address the OCIO and advisory needs of their endowment, foundation, pension fund, and other institutional clients.
The RockCreek team and its day-to-day decision-making and investment processes will remain unchanged and Afsaneh Beschloss will continue as CEO of RockCreek. She will also be appointed vice chair of Brown Advisory.
“We are thrilled to welcome the RockCreek team,” Logie Fitzwilliams (pictured left) & Mike Hankin (pictured right) , co-CEOs of Brown Advisory said. “They have demonstrated themselves as world-class investors, with a keen expertise in OCIO and multi-asset investing. They have developed a sophisticated and impressive technology platform for managing portfolios, and most importantly they have very deep and trusted relationships with their clients.”
“We are excited to partner with Brown Advisory, reflecting our continued focus on serving our clients with increased innovation, exceptional resources, and unwavering commitment to their long-term success,” Afsaneh Beschloss, CEO of RockCreek added. “Over the long term we believe our shared values will enable us to further expand our platform, navigate complex markets, and deliver greater value for clients.”
Founded in 2003 by Beschloss, RockCreek manages more than $18 billion in assets. Brown Advisory serves private clients and institutions in around 50 countries from 20 offices globally and is responsible for about $174 billion in assets for private and institutional clients.
The parnership follows Marylebone Partners joining Brown Advisory in June 2025.
