Brown Advisory Names Partner In Boston

Brown Advisory has strengthened its Boston office, appointing Dune Thorne as partner - a role in which she will also serve as a senior investment and strategic advisor to families, family offices and foundations.

Thorne joins Brown Advisory from Silver Bridge Advisors, where she was a managing director and principal, as well as serving on the management committee.

Prior to Silver Bridge, Thorne was the director of investments for Circle Financial Group, an investment and wealth management think tank for ultra high net worth women.

Michael Hankin, president and chief executive, said Thorne's expertise in education and empowering multi-generational families on wealth management issues, in addition to her research on the financial psychology of women and families, will have an "important impact" on the firm's families, family offices and institutions.

Brown Advisory has some $29 billion in client assets, with principal offices in Baltimore, MD, and Washington, DC, as well as in Boston, MA, Wilmington, DE, Chapel Hill, NC, and London.
