Blue Owl Capital, Qatar Investment Authority Enter Digital Infrastructure Pact

The involvement of the alternative investment house and Middle East sovereign wealth fund shows how significant the stakes in digital infrastructure have become.

Qatar Investment Authority and New York-listed Blue Owl Capital, the alternatives investments house, are partnering to create a digital infrastructure platform, tapping into surging growth in cloud computing and AI.

The platform is expected to have more than $3 billion of initial data center assets and to grow over time.

“This partnership aligns with QIA’s strategy to engage with leading global firms that are addressing the world’s growing demand for data centers,” Mohammed Saif Al-Sowaidi, CEO of QIA, said.

Blue Owl’s Digital Infrastructure strategy is part of Blue Owl’s Real Assets platform. As of June 30, 2025, the strategy has raised $39 billion of capital, investing in 104 facilities across 28 global markets. It has more than $284 billion in AuM across credit, real assets and GP strategic capital.
