Black Diamond Performance Reporting, the Florida-based provider of portfolio management and reporting platforms, has launched a new application specifically designed for the Apple iPad.

In launching its new BlueSky portfolio management and reporting product, Black Diamond said it was keen to provide a platform that could be extended to other environments such as mobile devices – an aim which reflects an increasing focus on such technology in the wealth management space.

The iPad app features an intuitive user interface which has been optimised for viewing and navigation on the recently-launched device. Users will also be able to toggle between their defined “SkyView” dashboards, scroll through selected “SkyBoxes” of user-configured information displays, and drill down into tables, charts and graphs facilitating on-the-go analysis. For further convenience the app automatically syncs with the user’s personal setting on the BlueSky web app, the firm said.

The new app will become available to clients at the start of next month, and over November and December they will be offered the use of an iPad by the firm so that they can provide feedback on how the device and the new platform impact on their business.
