Bessemer Trust has appointed Derek Lemke-von Ammon as managing director and senior resident officer for its San Francisco office.

Mr Lemke-von Ammon, who currently oversees Bessemer’s client relationships and business development in northern California, will report to Mark Lipson, Bessemer’s managing director and Western Region Head.

Prior to joining Bessemer, Mr Lemke-von Ammon was a partner at FTV Capital, and before that, a founder and director of private equity for Thomas Weisel Partners, and a senior managing director and director of private equity at Montgomery Securities.

Bessemer Trust is a privately-owned wealth management and investment advisory firm. Founded in 1907, it oversees more than $55 billion in assets.
