Bellatore Financial acquires two platform providers

Outsourcer buys into Advisor Partners and Capital Allocation & Management. Bellatore Financial, an investment-platform provider and practice-management consultancy to independent advisors, has acquired a pair of third-party investment firms: San Francisco-based Advisor Partners and Greenwood Village, Colo.-based Capital Allocation & Management (CAM).

Advisor Partners has about $350 million in assets under management and relationships with more than 40 U.S. financial advisories. CAM manages $365 million and business ties to about 120 firms.

A couple of months ago, Bellatore said it planed to make a few acquisitions with a view to accelerating asset growth. It has financial backing from a New York-based holding company called Leucadia National Corporation.

Advisor Partners and CAM join Bellatore Investment Counsel, an RIA with about $108 million in assets under management, and Legion Portfolio Services, a broker-dealer.

San Jose, Calif.-based Bellatore also owns Credo Consulting, a Mississauga, Canada-based market-research clearinghouse, and Pareto Systems, a Kelowna, Canada-based practice-management consultancy to advisors, branch managers and wholesalers. -FWR
