Bear, Stearns & Co. has announced the appointment of Jeffrey Turnbaugh who joins as a managing director in the private client Services division following seven years with Lehman Brothers.

Mr Turnbaugh will be based in San Francisco and will provide equity, fixed income, and alternative investment services to high-net-worth and institutional clients. Currently, he has approximately $400 million in assets in client accounts.

"His decision to join us is yet another example of our successful effort to attract the best brokers in the business - and Jeff certainly fits that description," said Steve Dantus, head of Bear Stearns' private client services.
