Barclays Wealth appoints a product-design maven

Ex-Morgan Stanley platform consultant with joins Barclays in
Switzerland. London-based Barclays Wealth has hired former Morgan
Stanley executive Karine Genevey to help provide tailored
investment solutions to clients of Barclays Wealth's
international private-banking group.
In her new role -- also a brand new one within Barclays --
Geneva-based Genevey will serve as a liaison between the firm's
product makers and its distributors on the international
private-client side.
Pivotal
This means Genevey will be working closely with relationship
managers "on the design, prioritization and implementation of
tailored investment solutions for Barclays Wealth's international
private-banking clients," according to a company press
release.
Barclay Wealth's CIO Kevin Lecocq says that "seamless delivery of
individually focused investment recommendations to our clients
lies at the core of Barclays Wealth's proposition." Genevey "will
be pivotal in this regard," he adds.
Prior to joining Barclays, Genevey spent six years with Morgan
Stanley, where, most recently, she was in charge of keeping the
firm's French and Spanish advisors up to speed on derivative
products.
Morgan Stanley sold its Spanish wealth-management business
earlier this year.
Barclays Wealth has about 7,000 staffers in 20 countries.
