Barclays Stockbrokers Names New Head of Proposition

Barclays Stockbrokers has appointed Barbara-Ann King as head of proposition.  She moves across from Barclays Wealth’s investment and product office, where she was head of alternative product.

Ms King has been at Barclays Wealth for the past 20 months, building the business’s alternatives proposition in hedge funds, private equity, real estate and commodities. In her new role, she is part of the senior leadership team with responsibility for driving and managing Barclays Stockbrokers' overall proposition offering.

Ms King will report to managing director and head of Barclays Stockbrokers Des Byrne.  Mr Byrne said:  “As an execution only broker, we need to offer a full range of products to our clients and our products need to be best in class. Barbara-Ann has extensive experience in developing products in the financial arena and will provide the leadership we need to continue being the number one broker.”

Before joining Barclays Wealth, Ms King was at Citi Wealth Management where she was global head of alternative investments, holding positions in both

London and

New York, managing assets in excess of $50 billion.
