Barclays Names New Boss Of Offshore Funds

Steve Rickards has been appointed to lead the bank's offshore funds.
Barclays has appointed Steve Rickards as its head of offshore funds.
Rickards will take on the newly-created role after four years of leading the group's Guernsey Funds team, providing debt solutions for private equity and working with local fund administrators. He hands the reins to Lloyds Bank International's Daniel O’Driscoll.
Based in Guensey, Rickards will now lead the group's offshore funds strategy, reporting to managing director of personal and corporate banking in the Channel Islands, Paul Savery. Rickards brings 30 years’ experience with Barclays in corporate banking and international finance centres.
“The offshore business has worked hand in hand with the funds team in London to bring the very best of Barclays to our clients, and Steve has been a real catalyst to driving this relationship from a Guernsey perspective,” said Savery.
“Barclays is committed to growing its funds offering in Guernsey and Jersey.”
