Barclays Makes UK Regional Wealth, Investment Hire From RBS
Barclays has hired Steve Renfrew as regional head of its wealth and investment management division in the North West region of the UK.
Barclays has hired Steve Renfrew as regional head of its wealth and investment management division in the North West region of the UK.
Renfrew was previously head of specialist banking at Royal Bank of Scotland, where he managed a 200-strong team delivering investments and mortgages. He also sat on the RBS specialist banking executive committee and has over 27 years of experience in the financial services sector.
In his new role, Renfrew will lead offices in Liverpool and Manchester. Alongside director James Bailey, he will be responsible for building relationships with new and existing high and ultra high net worth clients.
“His leadership skills and experience of working within a large
global bank will allow us to embark on the next phase of our
growth, and capitalise on the rising potential of the wealth
management market in the North West,” said Calum Brewster,
managing director of Barclays Wealth and Investment Management in
the North.
