Baird Private Wealth Management Recruits Senior Manager From MSSB

Baird Private Wealth Management, a unit of Robert W Baird & Co, has hired Dennis Rowland from Morgan Stanley Smith Barney to head a new office in St Paul, Minnesota, according to Dow Jones.

Mr Rowland, who will hold a senior vice president title at the firm, will also be responsible for recruiting financial advisors for Baird. The new office will be the firm's third in the Twin Cities region.

In his prior role Mr Rowland was a branch manager for both St Paul and Duluth, Minnesota and oversaw 29 advisors, as well additional support staff. He spent close to 16 years at Citigroup

Baird recruited 105 advisors, including branch managers, market managers and regional directors, in 2009. The firm now has more than 650 advisors.

As previously reported by Family Wealth Report, last month Baird appointed Smith Barney veterans Charles Singer and James Carideo to lead its wealth management offices in Indianapolis, Indiana and Tampa, Florida. Both men were formerly branch managers for Smith Barney.
