A wealth management firm operating in Illinois has joined Baird.

Baird, the US-based wealth manager (see a related story about the firm this week here), has brought The Tolbert Group into its private wealth management entity that is based in Oak Brook, Ill.

Oak Brook is a new office location for Baird, the firm said in a statement yesterday.

The team is led by Jeffrey Tolbert, director, who will also serve as resident manager of the office. The team oversees $178 million in assets and generates $1.4 million in annual production.

Tolbert is joined by senior client specialist Susan Bronzell, and client specialists Matthew Tolbert and Anthony Capitan, Baird said.

Baird’s private wealth management business encompasses approximately 880 financial advisors serving clients through 88 locations in 29 states, and has client assets of $117 billion.

Among other developments, in December last year, Baird appointed three financial advisors to its private wealth management group in Morristown, New Jersey, and West Palm Beach in Florida.
