Baillie Gifford To Take On Three New Partners As Veteran Departs

Baillie Gifford is wholly-owned by its partners.

Independent investment manager Baillie Gifford is set to appoint three new partners on 1 May 2017.

The trio of partners will be Eleanor McKee, director with responsibility for clients invested in multi-asset strategies; John Carnegie, director with responsibility for clients in the global alpha strategy; and Donald Farquharson, investment manager in the firm's Japanese equity team.

Elaine Morrison, a partner, is leaving the firm on 30 April this year after spending 28 years with Baillie Gifford working both as an investment manager and latterly in its clients department.

The total number of partners will rise to 43.

“Eleanor, John and Donald have made outstanding contributions to the clients invested in their strategies, developing the strong relationships and great investment returns that are the foundations of our firm,” said Andrew Telfer, joint senior partner.
