BNY Mellon Wealth Management Names New National Sales, Business Development Team Boss

The US wealth manager has named its national sales and business development team leader.

BNY Mellon Wealth Management has promoted the head of its Rocky Mountain region to lead its national sales and business development team, a move several years into the firm’s drive to expand its sales force by a half.

Scott Fleming oversees nearly 150 sales professionals across the US and reports to Tom Dicker, president of US markets for BNY Mellon Wealth Management. He takes over from former national sales director Don Quattrucci, who is now CAO for US Markets.

In its sales force expansion, the wealth manager has hired dozens of portfolio management and private banking professionals, setting up new offices in Menlo Park, San Diego, Washington, Houston, Dallas, Cayman and Hong Kong.

Fleming has worked in financial services for 28 years, and joined BNY Mellon in 2015 as Rocky Mountain regional president based in Denver and responsible for Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota and Kansas.

In previous roles, he was managing director and head of wealth management for The Bank of Tampa, was senior vice president and complex manager for Wells Fargo Advisors in Orlando, Florida, and also served as complex manager for Morgan Stanley Smith Barney in Kansas City and Denver.

Last week, the wealth manager announced that Michael Silane to be regional managing director for portfolio management in the Southwest US. In his new role, Silane works with six portfolio teams across the region on investment and wealth planning as well as risk management in serving clients. He reports to Shannon Kennedy, president for US Southwest.
