BNY Mellon Wealth Management Creates Regional Sales Role

BNY Mellon Wealth Management has promoted Garrett Alton to a newly-created position overseeing the firm's sales teams in Pennsylvania and Washington and leading each region's business development efforts.
Alton will relocate from Atlanta, GA, to Philadelphia, PA, reporting to Mid-Atlantic regional president David Kutch and Central US regional president Andy Paterson.
He has over 20 years of experience in the wealth management industry and joined BNY Mellon in 2009. Before that, he was a senior financial advisor focused on business development for Merrill Lynch. Previously, he was a senior vice president and regional director for wealth management at Neuberger Berman/Lehman Brothers in the Atlanta, DC and Philadelphia markets.
In a related move earlier this month, BNY Mellon made two senior hires for its wealth management office in Atlanta, adding a senior private banker and sales director.
Jonathan Blackwood, senior private banker, will manage BNY Mellon Wealth Management’s private banking activities in Georgia, reporting to regional private banking director Lisa Simington. Meanwhile senior sales director David Noosinow will work on business development throughout Georgia, as well as Lexington, Louisville and Kentucky, reporting to the regional sales manager of the Mid-Altlantic and Central states, Garrett Alton.
