The US wealth management firm has made a senior hire for its Mid-Atlantic region.

BNY Mellon Wealth Management has appointed Robert Bowman as Mid-Atlantic region managing director, business development, in Philadelphia. 

Bowman will report to regional president, Lee Woolley and will direct leadership for all new business activities, business development teams, and local marketing efforts from Philadelphia south through Delaware, Maryland, Washington, DC and Virginia.

Prior to this, Bowman was MD at National Securities, an independent broker dealer and RIA, and served as partner and MD at Snowden Lane Partners, a start-up hybrid wealth management firm. Prior to his role at Snowden Lane Partners, Bowman spent 30 years at Merrill Lynch, where he progressed from a financial advisor to national sales manager. Bowman graduated from Saint Joseph’s University in Pennsylvania with a BS in Marketing Management. He also obtained his SIFMA designation from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He is vice chairperson of the St Joseph’s University Board of Trustees.
