The chief financial officer at the wealth management group has been honored for being one of the most influential black women in business in the US.

BNY Mellon Wealth Management’s chief financial officer Renee LaRoche-Morris has been named one of the top 25 influential black women in business by The Network Journal, a publication focused on black professionals and small business owners.

Each year TNJ honors 25 accomplished black women who have had significant impact on their industry or profession. LaRoche-Morris recently accepted her award at a TNJ luncheon in New York. BNY Mellon Wealth Management CEO Don Heberle and Stephen Scott, CFO for BNY Mellon Investment Management, co-nominated LaRoche-Morris for the award.

LaRoche-Morris, has worked in financial services for more than 20 years at several major corporations. She earned a bachelor’s degree in foreign affairs from the University of Virginia, an MBA with double concentration in finance and marketing from Columbia Business School.  She is a leader in BNY Mellon’s Diversity and Inclusion strategy and serves on the board of Teaching Firms of America - Professional Preparatory Charter School.
