BNY Mellon Technology Subsidiary Opens First Asian Office

Eagle Investment Systems, the financial services technology subsiduary of BNY Mellon Asset Servicing, has launched its first Asian operational office.

Although Eagle has served clients in Asia for the past seven years, the new centre in Singapore is the company's first office in the region.

Eagle believes the financial crisis has pushed investment firms to focus hard on risk and data management, and they are now looking to financial software companies for help. Investment firms also recognise the long-term implications of new due diligence regulations whereby records, including data stored on dated legacy applications, will need to be stored securely for the next five to ten years.

"Our clients' businesses are becoming increasingly sophisticated and complex. This has led to rapid changes in their technology requirements. They need better visibility into their data, greater accuracy and automation of investment accounting, as well as the ability to measure in much finer detail the performance of their investments," said John Legrand, managing director of Eagle's Asia Pacific and EMEA operations.

The Singapore office will be led by Mr Legrand, joined by Danny Lim, head of sales, and William Tan, who is responsible for implementation consultancy and sales support.

Headquartered in the US, Eagle Investment Systems’ clients include institutions, corporations and high-net-worth individuals, providing asset management and wealth management, asset servicing, issuer services, clearing services and treasury services through a worldwide client-focused team.
