BNY Mellon Makes West Coast Family Wealth Appointment

BNY Mellon Wealth Management has added Eric Goodbar to its family wealth advisor team to serve UHNW families in Northern California and on the West Coast.
BNY Mellon has named Eric Goodbar as a managing director within its family wealth advisor team to serve ultra high net worth families in Silicon Valley and the greater San Francisco Bay area, as well as throughout the Western region.
Goodbar will report to family wealth advisor team leader and managing director, Ridgway Powell, who said that Goodbar's knowledge of the commodity and currency markets will be an added benefit for clients with highly complex wealth planning needs.
Before moving across to the wealth management business, Goodbar was a managing director and global investment strategist at Mellon Capital Management, BNY Mellon's San-Francisco, CA-based investment boutique. He previously worked at EGM Capital as president of the firm’s fund-of-funds division.
As of March 31, 2015, BNY Mellon had $28.5 trillion in assets under custody and/or administration, and $1.7 trillion in assets under management.
Last month, the firm said Donald Heberle is to succeed Lawrence Hughes as chief executive of BNY Mellon Wealth Management on June 30.
