BNY Mellon Kick-Starts Georgia Expansion Plan By Appointing New Chairman

BNY Mellon Wealth Management has named wealth strategist
Dana Halberg chairman of its Georgia operations, kicking off
the firm’s plan to expand its presence in the state, according to
a press release issued earlier today.
The firm’s Atlanta-based office has also recently hired a sales officer, and plans to add two new managing director positions in the coming weeks, either by internal promotion or by hiring from outside the company, the statement continued.
BNY Mellon’s southeastern president,
Craig Sutherland, noted the Atlanta branch’s strong
performance over the past five years, saying that the office “has
grown assets under management by more than four times and tripled
the size of its staff” since 2003, when the Arden Group, of which
Ms Halberg was a founding principal, was acquired by the firm.
BNY Mellon is one of the U.S.’s top 10 wealth managers, with about $151 billion in private client assets. The firm operates offices both in the U.S. and internationally.
