BNY Mellon Appoints Wealth Strategist For Midwest Businesses

New York’s BNY Mellon has added Tom Hamilton
to its team of wealth strategists for its western Pennsylvania, Ohio and
greater Chicago, IL, businesses.

Hamilton will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, reporting
to Don Heberle, head of international and client segments. He has 20 years of
experience advising on US and international tax planning, wealth preservation,
and business creation and succession planning for wealthy US and international
families.

Prior to joining BNY Mellon, Hamilton served
as a wealth advisor at Wells Fargo and was a director within the wealth group at
Grant Thornton before that.

Hamilton’s appointment closely follows the
addition of Patrick
Cappatt as a senior sales director throughout the Pittsburgh region earlier this month. The same
week, the firm appointed Edward Watson as executive vice president and chief
operations officer – a newly-created position at the firm.

BNY Mellon has $1.3 trillion in assets under management. Its wealth management unit, BNY Mellon Wealth Management, has $176 billion in private client assets.
