BNY Mellon Appoints COO For International Asset Management Division

BNY
Mellon, which has made a string of hires in recent
months, has appointed Heneg Parthenay as chief operating officer
of BNY
Mellon Asset Management International, based in London.
Parthenay reports to PeterPaul Pardi, chief executive of BNY
Mellon
Asset Management International and global head of distribution
for BNY
Mellon Investment Management.
In his new role, Parthenay is responsible for assisting Pardi in
the
management of BNY Mellon AM International, with a focus on
developing and implementing
strategy for the insurance channel. This will include consulting
and liaising
with industry participants, conducting market research and
analysis, and
assessing potential opportunities. Parthenay will also support
the division's
business development initiatives.
Parthenay, with more than 13 years’ experience in insurance and
asset
management, spent the last eight years at Aviva, latterly on
the
executive team of their global asset management arm, Aviva
Investors.
Before that, Parthenay worked in the insurance division of
Renault and
at Axa Corporate Solutions.
Last month, BNY Mellon promoted two senior managers to run
its
Eastern and Western Florida offices. Joseph Fernandez was
promoted to a
newly-created position overseeing BNY Mellon Wealth Management’s
Eastern
Florida offices. Lisa Simington was promoted to a newly-created
role
overseeing BNY Mellon Wealth Management’s Western Florida
business,
ranging from Naples to Tampa.
